~Last Day Prac in SMKTMu~

Time : 11.50am till school dismiss ~ 12pm
Date : 17th July 2009, Friday which is the last day of our practical
Venue : Canteen

This is the full group photos with the gals and the guys....but then too bad Ayu is not there with us..=(

These are what students gave to me...their BIODATA, pressent and their photos..=)

How Do I feel>??

I really feel grateful that I am actually in this field...As most of u know that I am not really into this teaching thingy before this.....I prefer mix with them only and not teaching them cause I think that my teaching skills are ~~OUT!:P LOL.....but then I love the school and the students...=)

I fall in love with all of them!!-=) The students are mischievious, they tend to talk about u right in front of u because they knew that u are not familiar with their signs...*_^, they tend to joke with u....and many more....What I realise throughout the whole practicum is that, students and teachers are just like one big family where teachers are the parents, brothers and sisters while the students are their children, their younger brothers and sisters...*_^

The normal students tends to fight back and argue what the teacher said..but then it will be different when u deal with the hearing impaired students....They respect you as a teacher, meanwhile they treat u like friends.=) How magic is this right?! Yeah, is true...you only can realise this if u experience it urself...If not, u wun be able to understand how I feel...

I miss my students, I miss teaching them science....
I miss their angels' voices...
I miss the laughters with them,
I miss everything in that single school...=)

Without this bunch of people, I would have hatred my practical life...and might be not entering this profession; not even thought of entering after graduating from it....Thanks to all that helped me during the moment of struggling...I at least knew what I should do when I grad next year..*_^

I just can't really explain in words how fun, how nice, how great having them to be ur company...having all the fun teachers around u...having all the funny voices calling u a "cow" (*gu* in hokkien means cow), shouting, mumbling............Missing those..=)

That is the end of my 2 months practical life...Is a GREAT experience for me..and is worthwhile to share and to tell the others about it.=)

Feeling happy and enjoyed,
~Joyce~

Sketch

I forgot about this important event!!LOL...*_^

Time : During Assembly
Date : 6th July 2009, Monday
Venue : Tapak Perhimpunan SMKTMu

Students and teachers put in lots of efforts for this sketch and it turns out to be a great one!

The story line:

Long long time ago................(*this is the classic initial for bedtime stories..:P) Sultan Melaka has a son and this son tends to play and not thinking about marriage. The son plays with another 2 friends and suddenly...(*deng..deng..deng..deng/...), they met his father and the father told him that he needs to get a wife with a pretty face, sexy body and good in dancing...

Therefore, when the King is back in his palace, he called his assistants over and asked them to write down the criteria so to send the scroll to kerajaan India, kerajaan Majapahit and kerajaan China.

*There goes the first assistant with his horse* ~ India
------------------> the King of India agrees to send his princess over

* there goes the second and third assistants to see the King of Majapahit and China*
------------------> both the Kings agreed as well to send their daughters..:D

*Here comes the selection of princess for the Malacca Kingdom!
--------~~~~~~ cheng...cheng...cheng...cheng..........~~~~~~~~the puteri from Negara China ~ Puteri Li Poh got choosen!!!!

and the other 2, wondering??????*here come the story****

~ the other 2 princess married with the King instead of the son..*_^

1/2 Group Photo

Time : 7am till 3.30pm
Date : 11th July 2009
Venue : Pantai Puteri, Melaka

Had this programme on a Saturday....We got to prepare all the things in just 2 days.....From preparing the food till buying all the things, survey the site......We at last manage to carry out this programme...*_^

I was so excited on this programme!! Can't really have a nice sleep the night before...LOL, or should I say is a few hours before?:P Yea, Cla and Lily put over a night at my place and we work till 2am in the morning so to finish up the un-do tasks..=) We want the best for the students

around 5.30am, we woke up and prepare for this excited event! After getting ready, we realise that we are actually running out of time cause I need to go over to one student's house to fetch her and then send Cla to asrama so that she can follow the bus.....

Speeding like....erm.....maybe 90km/h...*_^

But then it seems like the weather is not giving any cooperation to us!! Lily and me keep rounding the area so to get a shady place....But in the end ........ NONE! We just continue at the venue we chose that day...

Rain..........rain.............and rain...........

At last the rain stops and all of us started with warming up, followed by the station games...FUN and EXCITING I can say...*_^

Below are some of the pictures ..:) Have fun..

Program Pemantapan Bahasa

Time: 1.15pm till 2.15pm
Date : Throughout the whole practicum
Venue : Kelas Tingkatan 1

They are proposing to me..*_^

Want to massage for me..LOL...*_^

We had this task given by the Penyelaras starting from the 2nd week we did our practical. It was a fun thing to do..Gained lotsa experiences, we as well learned the words, the meaning and the sentences.

How we run the programme at first?

Haha....we do it kinda boringly ~ just copy the word, the meaning and the sentences on the white board..Then the students were asked to copy it into their exercise books...*_^

Slowly, we got the message that they are not really interested in it since this programme is an after school programme...So, we manage to change the style in conducting it..=)

No more copy deadly, no more explain and do; but more to fun things..~ like short sketch, competition between groups etc.

How do I feel?

I feel that even this programme can't achieve the number of terms they should learn as stated in the proposal, but then at least they know the meaning of the term and manage to use it correctly. Is satisfying to see the happy faces surround you. It makes me happy and wanted to do more for them! People start saying that I have the passion to teach....=) Is a good thing I know....There are too many things running in my mind right now and I just can't do it all alone..There are many things that we can actually do for the students...

Things like motivation talk, visit the universities, cutting down their syllabus by only teaching them the main courses/...For this motivation talk, It came to my mind where I heard from the students about their ambition...Many of them wanted to be a worker in McD, KFC, those fastfood restaurants......They actually can be successful in their lives...they can have people to bring them round the universities and explain to them....Is good enough if there are people like TC, people like Chia to motivate them as they are in the same condition with them....=)

LOL, so many activities can be held..=)

PJK

LOL....too many post didn't get to update dy..so now sekaligus update...

Every Thursday, first period will be PJK for the PK students.....They are divided into boys and girls group which is each group contains students from form1 till form 5..=)

Cla is the one teaching PJK...and so, she decided to play some simple games...and we both (Lily and me) joined in 3 weeks before we end our practical...

First time joining, we played fish and net...

How to play?Yea, good question...

1. u need to form a group with 3
2. u need to discuss among ur members who are u catching first.
3. the one got caught will need to be in the team to continue catching the other fishes
4. the game continuessssss...

Fun but then haha...I think we are too old to run around..*_^ dahlah sumore din do warming up...*what de......Cla, how come u din do warming up session?=P *

Second time was the passing bottles instead of parcels..*_^.....This time, the boys are all in!!! Lily and me joined them and purposely pass the bottles slowly so that we are going to kenakan people...:D *see how "evil" we are right....but then this is the angel's evilness=P *

The final PJK time is the time where we really step into the padang sekolah and enjoy the view there...the greeny smellsssssss nice!!=) We played elephant, snake & ostrich....

Ok, HOW???

1. 3 person as well..
2. one person act as the elephant, the other is the snake and the third person will be the ostrich
3. move and catch ur friends with the action
4. who being caught will need to do the same thing and the predator will be expanding...*_^

Other than that game, we also played the "stand on one feet"
1. 3 students have to catch the others
2. who being caught will need to stand on the spot and only on one feet...

I am happy to be part of this school.....to be with the students as well as the teachers and PPM...=) Thanks alot for ur guidance and advices..*_^

Replacement School Day

We had replacement school day on the 26th June 2009.....Haha...sorry for late posting...now baru free ba..:D

Went to school early in the morning as usual...and prepare for my first 3 periods....Because today used Friday's time table....so, I have 3 period of Science...:P

LOL, in my mind saying, there will be only 2 more weeks for us to be with the students...must take some time to take pictures with the dearest students...*_^

Then I thought them one of the interaction between living organisms and the environment....not sure which interaction dy..*_^ Hehe.....

Took some pictures with the students and also Izan after my class....

What am I thinking?

I feel satisfy with my students, they are way much better than the other students out there! Dare me!=) I feel the urge to teach them and let them understand as much as possible...and if this helps them in their understanding of the environment as well as during the exam..

I strongly feel that the syllabus should be modified and not suppose to follow the main stream syllabus....WHY???because these students, they need to go slowly and do some fun and interesting activities so to attract them to learn and not strictly follow and rush the syllabus just for the sake of exam....Some of them might feel the burden then...(*for sure, this is just my own personal opinion, no any offenses....if there is anyone who willing to share their opinion with me, are mostly welcomed!=) and I hope there will be someone!)

Clinical Observation

As I mentioned in my earlier post that I will out for clinical observation..=)

12pm Yani, Fidya, Atun, Hanna, Fizah, Lily and me gathered at the ktm station. We are going to Bandar Tasek Selatan so to reach the hospital......

Something happened to SOMEONE's sandal..*_^

We reached there around 1pm and for sure we took a few shots before proceed to the Kaunter Pertanyaan ~ Asked for directions to jppp as well as surau....then asked for cafeteria since every stomach were graunching..*_^

2.45pm we were already at the jppp.....waiting for the office to open again after masa sembahyang jumaat...They refered us to unit fisioterapi since it was the HEAD of every units there..

we were then divided into 3 groups which one group remain at the jim muscle bla bla bla, another one go over to jim paediatric and lily & me went over to jim neurologi.. We were allowed to switch from one jim to another on our own..=)

Talk to pn.F who is the therapist in jim neurologi, she said that this jim is actually for those above 18 years old and suffering from stroke, CP as well as mental retardation.. For those below 18, they will be refered to jim paediatric. She was a person whom we think that is approachable..=) *hoho....I just told my lily that is ever i was put in that unit for 1 whole day, I don't think I will get bored ~ because there are so many things that you can see, you can observe!=)**

Special Lifters for OKU

I am reading Peter Tan's blog and come across this great news..=) At least for me and of cause for the person with special needs..=)

Read the article HERE

This is the bus with special lifters for OKU...even though is just only 15 buses and is at Putrajaya..But, again..at least is a big step forward for the community...I think this issue had been raised for a very long time and now~~the dream comes true...=) Yippie!!Happy for ya...

There are actually so much more to do in this field..Just that people don't realise it and think that it will be done someday, somehow.........Universal design is very important ~ designs that are suitable for all, for everyone and we need not switch again due to different users, eg: pregnant woman, an old lady, a mother with a pram etc...
